Catch-up & Clean-up Bookkeeping

Catch-up and Clean-up Bookkeeping for Canadian Businesses

Behind on your books, facing a CRA deadline, or inheriting a messy file? We catch up months or years of bookkeeping quickly and fix duplicated, mis-coded and unreconciled transactions so your numbers can be trusted again.

Common situations we fix

  • No bookkeeping done for one or more years
  • QuickBooks or Xero file with duplicate transactions from bank feeds
  • Reconciliations that have never matched the bank
  • GST/HST returns filed on estimates that now need support
  • Personal and business spending mixed together
  • A previous bookkeeper left and nobody knows what was done
  • Getting ready for a bank loan, investor, sale of the business or a CRA review

How we catch you up

    Assess

We review your file and statements and give you a fixed price and timeline before any work starts.

  2. 2

    Collect

We give you one simple checklist of statements and documents. Most can be downloaded from your bank in minutes.

We record, code and reconcile every month in order, flagging anything we need you to confirm.

  4. 4

    Hand over

You receive reconciled books, financial statements for each year and a list of any tax filings that are due.

Catch-up & Clean-up Bookkeeping: common questions

How long does catch-up bookkeeping take?

A typical small business year takes one to three weeks once we have the statements. Rush timelines are possible when a CRA or bank deadline is close.

Can you work from bank statements only?

Yes. Bank and credit card statements are the minimum. Receipts and invoices help with GST/HST input tax credits, so we will ask for them where they matter.

What happens after the catch-up?

Most clients move to our monthly bookkeeping so they never fall behind again, but there is no obligation.
